Located in a suburban neighborhood in Bozeman, Montana, this project (2022, in development) is organized around a central, cloistered garden courtyard. An important facet of the design was that guests be encouraged to "wander" and the house be "built around music." The courtyard is at the center of the circulation of the house creating an art gallery circuit that connects public spaces of the house and allows music to flow between them. Daylighting via light wells and skylights are utilized in select areas to maintain privacy from adjacent homes and highlight important interior moments. A small "coffee deck" is nestled within the roof to face the rising sun and views of Hyalite Canyon and the surrounding mountains.
