Cowboy Shed: Progress Update III

October 7th, 2024 | LN | Construction Progress

Electrical and mechanical rough-in is complete on our Cowboy Shed project in Wilson, WY. Windows showed up last week and will be installed soon and the cedar siding and weathering steel roofing will follow shortly thereafter.

The home is sited on the seam between forest and pasture, occupying the tree line like the local wildlife, hesitant to expose themselves to danger in the open meadow. The home is dwarfed by the trees to the west, effectively blending it into the backdrop of the woods and creating moments of intimacy or long views for different program along the length of the structure. The home exposes its broadside to the east, opening to views of the Gros Ventre range across the meadow and welcoming morning light.
