Here are a few early images of a new home on a creek in Wilson, WY. The site is part of a small cluster of modest lots that back up to a large, protected wetland. The goal for the siting and massing of the structures was to create low profile buildings with minimal visual impact for neighbors while creating private spaces for the residents that focus on south and east views and light. The building turns it's back on the road and opens up to the open view corridor towards the creek, wetland (and wildlife that it attracts) and the mountains beyond. The landscape design takes a similar approach using a mix of existing mature trees and new native plants to screen neighbors and roadways and create new exterior spaces of varying levels of intimacy.
