Here are a few early images of a new custom home and guest home that will replace an existing residence built on a creek in Wilson, WY. The site is part of a small cluster of modest lots that back up to a large, protected wetland area. The goal for the siting and massing of the structures was to create low profile buildings with minimal visual impact for neighbors while creating private spaces for the residents that focus on southern and eastern views and light. The building turns it's back on the road and opens up to the open view corridor towards the creek, wetland (wildlife that it attracts) and mountains beyond. The landscape design takes a similar approach using a mix of existing mature trees and new native plants to screen neighbors and roadways and create new exterior spaces of varying levels of intimacy.
