These images are from a trip to the Hudson Valley last fall. A rain-induced scarcity of visitors and emergent fall color made for an especially picturesque experience at Storm King. The gloriously daylit, sprawling galleries of Dia Beacon contained many familiar artists, notably a mezzanine level with a quartet of torqued ellipses by Richard Serra (Torqued Ellipse 2, Double Torqued Ellipse, Torqued Ellipse 1 and 2000).
